also known in the foundry as a oscillating table, a compacting table or a shakeout table. They serve, on the one hand, for compacting cold-resin-bonded mold boxes or for knocking out core sand from the casting.
The vibrating tables are designed according to the customer's requirements. Compacting tables are often integrated into cold-resin-bonded molding lines or in lost foam systems with binder-free sand. The mold is placed on the compacting table via a roller conveyor. The vibrations bring the form sand to flow, resulting in a more even distribution and compaction.
Vibrating tables can also be used to loosen core sand in the castings. After shak-out on the shakeout grid, the castings are lifted and fixed onto the shakeout table. The core sand dissolves by the vibrations and can be collected underneath the table.
