Dosing Feeder with unbalanced motors - for a directed discharge of foundry feedstocks

Dosing Feeder

with unbalanced motors - for a directed discharge of foundry feedstocks

also known as hopper discharge feeders, discharge chute or according to their function as a dosing chute, are used below bunkers and silos. They are used for the directed discharge of foundry feedstocks such as sand, chips, scrap, aggregates, coke and other bulk materials. Feeding chutes can be used for feeding sand molds onto shake out units, for feeding blasting plants, crucible furnaces or other installations.

Dosing feeders are individually designed for the application. Many criteria have to be taken into account, such as type of feedstock, density, moisture, dosage quantities, installation location, etc. In Küttner Foundry Plant Tec., hopper discharge feeders are used in fully automatic charging plants or aggregate dosing systems as well as in inoculant dosing systems.
